About WI Director of Nursing Council

WDONC logoEverything the Wisconsin Director of Nursing Council – Education Forum, Inc. does is centered on providing support and education to all who work in long-term and post-acute nursing continuum of care.

We have an all-share, all-learn philosophy centered on helping all Wisconsin leaders thrive.  We serve over 600 members in Wisconsin and over two-thirds of Wisconsin skilled nursing facilities, assisted living and other clinical leaders.

The Wisconsin Director of Nursing Council is for ALL Long-Term Care Nursing Professionals and administration professionals. We provide in-person and virtual educational opportunities, including our February Symposium, on-line webinars/teleconferences, and a membership discussion board to constantly keep our members updated and networked with other care providers. We have several membership opportunities to meet your and your organizational needs, including Business Partner Membership, for those looking to support, and show appreciation for the efforts of our senior care leaders.

Our DON Basics Certification Course provides an educational foundation for those beginning their career as a nursing leader.

We host weekly Support Calls on Wednesday at 7 am to connect leaders to discuss the latest updates, and trends. We share best practices, frustrations, and triumphs. These are free to join. Subscribe to our email list using the link below for more reminders every Tuesday.

RAVEThe WI D.O.N. Council’s vision statement is R.A.V.E. for long-term care nursing. R.A.V.E. stands for Resource, Advocate, Voice, Educate. Our volunteer board uses our mission statement and vision to guide the activities of our organization.

As the voice of nursing leaders in Wisconsin, we are honored to advocate on your behalf and frequently meet with leaders from around Wisconsin. Your membership help support our mission to R.A.V.E. on your behalf.
